Gomati District Polytechnic , one of the prominent Polytechnic Institutes of Tripura is affiliated to Tripura University (A central University). During the first academic year 2013-14 a total of 180 students were admitted to 3(Three) different Diploma courses namely Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Technology in accordance with the AICTE regulations.

Computing Facilities:

The Institute is currently running two Computer Laboratories namely DBMS Lab and CAD Lab. Both the Labs are fully equipped with high configuration PCs along with efficient application softwares with Internet facilities.

DBMS Lab:

Students admitted to different courses can practice C,C++, JAVA in this Lab.

CAD Lab:

Civil Engineering students can do practical using CAD software in this Lab. Moreover, students of Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Technology can do simulations using different simulation software.

Smart classroom:

The Institute has a smart classroom where students and teachers can utilize online resources like e-lectures. The smart classroom is equipped with computer and audiovisual equipment, allowing the teachers to teach using a wide variety of media. The classroom is fitted the following:

Internet Access.
DVD and VHS Player;
Room Speakers;
Laptop Connections for Guest Speakers;
LCD Projector;
Projector Screen.

Each computer has a set of software which includes:

A-VIEW Classroom: Robust e-learning software
MOOC

Civil Engineeing Lab: Laboratory manuals ,a Laboratory with sophisticated equipments like Autolevel, Theodolite, Prismatic Compass for doing Field Surveying and Softwares like GIS, Auto CAD etc. are available.

The Department has a full-fledged separate Drawing hall to cater the students hands on drawing practice.

This Institute has a physics lab where students can perform different physics related practical under the supervision of experienced faculties.

Chemistry lab:

Gomati District Polytechnic has one chemistry lab which has state of the art facilities for the students to perform different practical and experiments.
